Product Overview

The dust under the dining table rarely waits for your next big clean. The Dyson PencilVac Vacuum Cleaner 38mm makes those smaller jobs easier to tackle, with a slender body that moves between chair legs, along room edges and beneath low furniture. Instead of steering a bulky machine around everything in its path, you guide the Fluffycones head into the places where everyday dust and loose hair collect.

This is a hard-floor specialist, not a carpet vacuum disguised as an all-rounder. Its four soft conical brush bars, forward and rear illumination, and lightweight design suit homes where tile, wood and other compatible hard surfaces make up most of the cleaning route. Choose it for quick, precise dry cleaning and a machine that is easy to reach for between larger household tasks. At JB Saeed Studio, you can check the supplied package and delivery arrangements before placing your order.

Key Features & Benefits

38mm Body, Less Bulk to Steer

The slim body keeps the machine's main components within a narrow profile. That makes its appeal easy to understand: fewer awkward movements around furniture, more room to manoeuvre, and a cleaner that does not feel oversized for a small spill or a single room.

Fluffycones Cleaning in Multiple Directions

Four conical brush bars pick up debris and help move hair away from the rollers. The head changes direction around obstacles, so cleaning between dining chairs feels more like following the floor plan than repeatedly repositioning your vacuum.

Illumination on Both Sides

Lights at the front and rear of the cleaner head help reveal dust on hard floors as you move forwards and backwards. This gives you a clearer view of the area you are cleaning, especially when pale dust blends into the floor's finish.

Compact Hyperdymium Motor

Dyson's Hyperdymium 140k motor spins at up to 140,000rpm inside the slender body. The engineering supports the PencilVac's compact format without requiring a large motor housing above the handle. It is designed around hard-floor pickup rather than deep carpet agitation.

Reach Under Low Furniture

The machine can lie flat to reach beneath furniture with approximately 95mm of clearance. Check your furniture's actual opening, including any hanging fabric or crossbars. The benefit is access to dry dust that otherwise turns into a separate furniture-moving job.

Compressed Dust, Controlled Emptying

The small collection chamber uses airflow to compress dust, followed by a syringe-style emptying action. Instead of reaching into loose debris, you direct the collected material into your household bin. Empty at the indicated limit rather than waiting for suction to drop.

Charging and Control That Fit Your Routine

The magnetic dock gives the cleaner a dedicated storage and charging position. An LCD shows useful operating information, while MyDyson connectivity provides additional machine guidance. The rotating combi-crevice tool helps reach awkward gaps; confirm the local box contents before purchase.

Why Choose the Dyson PencilVac for Your Home?

Made for Hard-Floor Living

Choose around the surfaces you actually clean. For a home dominated by compatible hard flooring, the PencilVac's slim, mobile head is more relevant than features intended for deep carpet cleaning. For carpet-heavy rooms, compare other Dyson vacuum cleaners instead.

Less Rearranging Before You Begin

Chairs, side tables and low sofas create their own cleaning obstacles. A narrow body and flexible head let you work around the room's layout. You can focus on reachable floor space without treating every quick clean as a furniture reset.

Ready for Small Messes

Crumbs after breakfast, dry dust in the hallway and loose hair around a dressing area do not always justify a full-house clean. Keeping the PencilVac charged nearby gives these everyday jobs a straightforward starting point.

Visibility That Supports a Better Finish

A floor can look clean from standing height while still holding a line of fine debris. Illuminated passes help you decide where to spend another moment, rather than simply repeating the same route across the entire room.

Know the Limits Before You Buy

The compact bin and hard-floor focus are deliberate trade-offs. Choose this model for handling and access, not for wet spills or large carpeted areas. A good purchase starts with matching the cleaner to your home, not the longest feature list.

How to Use Your Dyson PencilVac

  • Check the machine, cleaner head and supplied accessories against the box contents
  • Read the included user guide before assembly and charging
  • Place the charging dock on a suitable, stable surface
  • Fully charge the battery and check that all components are securely fitted
  • Select a suitable power mode for the dry debris you need to collect
  • Guide the head across compatible hard flooring without forcing it into gaps
  • Use the illuminated area to check edges and missed patches
  • Empty the bin when debris reaches the marked maximum level
  • Inspect the cleaner head and remove obstructions with the machine switched off
  • Follow Dyson's PencilVac care guide for filter cleaning and removal
  • Wash the filters as directed, then allow at least 24 hours to dry completely
  • Refit only fully dry parts and keep the charging contacts clean and dry
  • Do not collect liquids, hot ash or flammable materials
  • Switch off and disconnect charging power before maintenance
  • Use the specified charger and avoid operating with damaged components

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Dyson specifies the PencilVac for hard floors only. It is intended for dry debris on compatible surfaces, not embedded dirt in carpet piles. Check your flooring manufacturer's care instructions, especially for delicate finishes, and choose a carpet-capable model for carpeted rooms.
Dyson's current PencilVac specifications state up to 30 minutes in Eco mode. Higher-power operation and actual cleaning conditions can reduce this. Plan around your usual room-by-room routine rather than assuming the maximum applies to every setting throughout a clean.
The PencilVac uses a removable click-in battery. A compatible additional battery can extend your cleaning session when charged and available. A spare is not automatically included with the machine, so confirm compatibility and local availability before ordering one separately.
The machine can lie flat to approximately 95mm high. Measure the narrowest opening under your sofa, including structural supports, before relying on that access. Leave enough space to move the head freely rather than forcing it beneath tight or uneven furniture.
Do not assume every regional package contains the same tools. The Fluffycones head is central to this model, while accessory bundles can differ. Ask JB Saeed Studio to confirm the supplied tools, charger and dock for the specific unit being dispatched.
No. This is a dry vacuum cleaner, not a mop or wet-and-dry appliance. Use an appropriate floor-cleaning method for liquid spills and allow surfaces to dry before vacuuming. Never introduce water or cleaning solution into the machine's dust collection system.
Request the written warranty details for the supplied unit before payment, including the coverage period, responsible service provider and claim process. Keep your invoice and machine serial number. Overseas Dyson warranty pages should not be treated as confirmation of local coverage.
Check availability, final price, included accessories, warranty terms and the estimated dispatch date. Also review delivery arrangements for your address and exchange eligibility, particularly when buying at a promotional price. These checks help ensure the supplied package matches your expectations.
